Acosta Finally Takes His First MotoGP Win
Pedro Acosta has claimed the first MotoGP victory of his career, delivering a dream home triumph for KTM at the 2026 Austrian Grand Prix.
Starting fourth, Acosta recovered from dropping to fifth before attacking the leaders. He passed Jorge Martin for first on Lap 9 and controlled the remainder of the 28-lap race to win by 1.017 seconds.

Redemption After Sprint Heartbreak
The victory came just one day after Acosta suffered a painful Sprint disappointment.
The KTM rider had built a lead of almost three seconds on Saturday before crashing with only three laps remaining, handing victory to Martin.
On Sunday, Acosta made no such mistake.
His victory was also KTM's first MotoGP Grand Prix win since 2022, making the breakthrough even sweeter at the manufacturer's home Red Bull Ring.
Martin Extends Championship Lead
Martin finished second ahead of Aprilia team-mate Marco Bezzecchi, while returning Ai Ogura impressed with fourth.
Marc Márquez endured a more difficult afternoon and finished fifth. The result means Martin now leads Márquez by 12 points — 306 to 294 — as the championship heads to Japan.
Acosta's Breakthrough Finally Arrives
For Winbox Racing, Austria could prove to be a defining moment in Acosta's career.
The former Moto3 and Moto2 World Champion had already demonstrated that he possessed MotoGP-winning speed. At the Red Bull Ring, he finally converted that potential into victory.
